    Hey guys,
There is a 355 Challenge omp roll cage for sale on ebay, it's out of Denver,Co. The best part about it, it's only $395 with the "buy it now" feature. I am in no way affiliated with the sale but just thought I would pass along this awesome deal on a cage for any of the 355 guys who may be getting serious about tracking their cars.
    Ciao,

It must already be gone, because I can't find it.

Does anyone know if this will fit in a 348 CH? I have a '94 348 CH that has the rear porion of the roll cage still in from '96. This is supposed to be from a '96 355 CH. Will the front section bolt to my existing rrear roll bar?

Richard- Do you plan to track the car extensively? If not, I'd respectfully suggest that you think this through carefully before making a final decision to reinstall a full cage. Aside from the ingress/egress hassles, the notion of whacking your head on the cage when driving on the street without a helmet is not pleasant. Okay, I'll shut up and mind my own business now.

It would be cheaper and quicker to have custom made front end that can easily anchor to the rollover hoop. All you need is a spacer the same size as the gap in the rollover hoop ears. This can be purchased or fabricated and attached to the required tubing. In DOM steel tube the cost is perhaps 100 bucks in materials and labor. Any race prep shop can do it for you

you will also need to have anchors welded in the footwell floor if you don't already have that. Early 348 cages did not have doorbars and 355 cages do. So if you have an early 348 cage then you will need to modify your 348 cage to accept the doorbars anyway if you find pieces of a 355 cage. Either way the 348/355 omp cages are pretty rudimentary and I could never get a straight answer from OMP italy if they were made of DOM or ERW or their thickness. For SCCA DOM is the standard and if you car stays in stock weight then you are on the border of 0.095 wall or 0.120 wall tubing to be just at min SCCA specs for tube type. You'll need to look at the SCCA GCR's I can't remember them exactly. You may not do SCCA but they have thought out the safety aspects and they are easy to copy so no reason to reinvent the wheel. So for casual dual use trackdays the bolt in OMP is o.k. but I'm a chicken so I went full cage welded which all the blah blah blah...

I have the later 348 cage that will accept door bars. The '94 348's had the mount points welded in at the factory.

I don't know if it will necessarily be installed as much to have a complete challenge kit. The real question is will the 355 cage fit in a 348 or were they different?
