the saddest part is that the F50 probably is sitting in a private collection NEVER to be driven ever again. Think about it, how is the 10yr service getting performed? Or what if the brakes need to be replaced? God forbid a clutch job where you have to remove the entire rear-end of the car.
Such a waste!
Just curious. BTW, I know what '...killed the cat.'
Perhaps I've answered my own question.
It is a very very sad and horrible thing to have happened.
planning on giving it back anytime soon?
Any news about this car?
they found it!
Hopefully in one piece?
Is the car intact?

What is it about Ferraris and Subarus?
Glad they found the guy, and the car was in one peice.
Sorry to be spamming the forum for the past two days but, I really need Andy SAnborn to contact me regarding his stolen and recovered car. This same guy scammed at least three Porsche owners, including myself, out of alot of money. According to the Postal Inspector I have been dealing with, this guy has a rap sheet a mile long. He needs to be put away for a long time. This happend three years ago and the Postal Service felt as if it wasn't that important. I tracked the guy down 3 different times and nothing was done to get him. I even talked to his father who laughed when I told him what he had done. His father knew he was in New Hampshire and I bet he knew what he was up to as well. Family of Dirtballs. I am sure he has ripped off hundreds of people in the last three years. Alot of them are probably too embarrassed to come forward. Or they don't want to be implicated in receiving stolen parts.

Good luck getting him put him away for along time. Sounds like a real dirtbag.
Always good news to hear some get reunited with there car.
congrats on the recovery. there were a bunch of subaru parts and porsche parts found also. here is a vid........
Old thred, but is this var still existing?
How was the car stolen? Did I miss that part?
How was the security system disabled? Worries me as an owner. Very very glad to hear they got it back.
The thread is very old, see the first page.
To answer your question, the car stolen was a Challenge series race car. No security system to disable so nothing to worry about as an owner....unless you have a Challenge car.
