Which transaxle fluid do you recommend for the 355 Challenge? I'm racing this weekend and Red Line is about the only thing available, which Red Line would your recommend? MTL?

Also, any tips or tricks to changing the transaxle fluid or easy as the engine?

BTW, can't wait to show everyone pics of the new cage, seats, belts, and fire system. It all came out great!

I'm figuring it out mostly on my own, I believe Amsoil 75W-90 is the best after asking around. I guess it takes about 4 qts. and the filler hole is back left of engine on a 19mm that has a dip stick attached.

Rob you might wan to try the Redline NS and add their friction modifier. We've been using that or Swepco 201. We don't use Amsoil or Mobil 1 anymore.

I think Dave Helms uses the Redline concoction.....that is where I got that from. Swepco 201 has been as effective on fighting wear.

Thanks David! At the track there wasn't an Amsoil dealer and all the other places had was Redline MTL, would that be OK or should I sale that and go straight to the NS? Also, is there a name for the friction modifier or is it the only one they sell?

I would go with the NS and add as little modifier as required. Any GM rated posi additive will work. GM, BG, Redline... all seem to work just fine.

Run the level low on the stick, even just below "min" is OK for the race cars as it will spit out anything more through the breather. Do you have a catch tank on the breather? If not, good idea to remove the little cap and install one up high to reduce the internal pressures.
