I recently got a small split in this hose as well, looked at changing it with engine in vehicle and it seems like a chore. Would love to see how it is done as currently I am contemplating taking engine out to do belt, etc if it needs to come out.

Putting pillows on top of motor and laying flat on stomach feet at the rear of car, head up by water pump might be the best way???

    Anyone done this?

Howard, you could also remove your GTS top and work from inside the car ;)

Mitchell (yelcab) was able to get this hose off to change my car's thermostat. Definitely want the engine lid completely removed from the car. The annoying thing is that the fuel block needs to be disconnected. It and the power steering reservoir are in the way.

Much easier with 2 people than 1.

Did it without removing engine lid.

Lay flat on belly on top of protected motor....shoved steering tank out of the way
Removed the jubilee clip on thermostat end ....wasn't clamping for some reason...replaced with better quality...Mikalor..supraclamp....much better design

Hurt my balls getting on and off the car

Mine is a M2.7 so no fuel block in the way

    Happy days
