355 Check engine

    If you have a legit airbag code, pulling the fuse will not do anything. I'm still going with it was a low voltage situation. Take it to someone who can scan the airbag code for you. Should not cost much to just diag the code. They can turn it off and see if it comes back on. Had my 911 airbag light turned off after I replaced a horn switch for under $100.

    The airbag light will stay on until you have it diagnosed and reset with an SD2 at the shop.
    As far as the battery, most auto parts stores will test it for free. You just need to go through the effort to take it out of the car since it is not very accessible while it is in the car.
    Other things that can cause the codes that you are seeing are dirty electrical connections. You might try cleaning all of the connectors that go to the Cat ECUs (two on the passenger side rear, behind the wheel well, and one on the drivers side rear in the same area.) Also make sure the all the ground connections are good. There are other threads that talk about the locations of the ground points.
    Overall, I would check the battery first, clean connectors second, have the shop clear the airbag light last.

    With a multiple electrical issue I would charge/test the battery, test the alternater, check the grounds & clean (with brake cleaner and use dielectric grease) all the plugs in the engine compartment.....clear codes and test the car. Also make sure the main alternater ground strap is intact as well.

    Chris, good point, I forgot that many F355's do not have the alternator ground strap (from the alternator to the oil pan. I believe most F355s did not come with them from the factory, but the part is readily available from them, or simply buy a braided strap from your local autoparts store.

    I just wanted to thank you guys very much who helped me this weekend. I was able to fix all the minor issues with your assistance. I cannot say enough how thankful I am with ferrarichat. Rob Lay did a great job. I have to really thank the guys who really put in an effort to help everyone. F355spyder you really do a great job. And thanks for responding to my emails. Its great, and I will do my best to also contribute. I have a 78 308 that I have more experience with. The 355 is new knowledge for me. Thank You Again.

    Glad to hear things are coming along. I had a 78 308 GTS way back...it was my first. I bought it from a friend in 1999 and had it until until 2002. Wonderful cars, great sounds from the engine, and such a classic look.
