How many miles should I get on a clutch????

I got 3500 miles town driving and now it is slipping real bad. In 3rd or when Ii go up up hill I have to shift down to second gear.

This does not sound right, should I not get more milage out of the clutch, could somethig else be at fault.

That is not normal, except you run the car on racing with many hard starts like 1/4 mile races. If not you have an oil leak from the gearbox input shaft, or a hydraulic leak of the throw out bearing ... or a grease leak of the flywheel. Or you don't change the pressure plate on the clutch exchange and it is worn of or some of the springs are broken.

The aftermarket clutches don't always last very long, for one thing, and for another thing, if you back an F1 car up any sort of hill/incline, you'll quickly burn up the clutch.
