I just got my car back from service including a coolant flush. After a quick drive, there is coolant coming from this hose, which is simply loose at the other end. There is now a nice puddle on my garage floor. Does anyone know where the other end of this hose should connect?

    LOL!

It's supposed to do that, it's the over flow hose. You may want to make sure that all the air was properly bled out of the system.

Hallefrickinlooya. I suppose this is normal after a flush due to a bit extra fluid?

Yeah nothing big deal. But do keep an eye on your temp gage. If they didn't properly bleed the system of air you will see the temp gage go up. If it does just crack the bleed screws on the radiator feed tube to bleed the extra air out of the system. When you bleed the air you make sure you do it with the heater set all the way to hot.
