355 Coolant Reservoir Vent Hose

Kills me to ask this as I'm buttoning up the engine out on my 355 and everything has gone perfectly smoothly, but I cannot for the life of me recall where the hose from the coolant reservoir cap connects on the other end (Part 156082). None of the diagrams for the cars that use this show the connection on the other side. I'm hoping this is a gas vent line to nowhere as I am feeling foolish having not photographed its original position. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you!

 

It appears the same item on my 456 is in fact a "vent line to nowhere." Hopefully this is correct. Any confirmation from a tech still much appreciated. Thank you!
