    Hi All,

My left hand cooling fan is not working, It has been suggested that the switch is replaced. Is this an easy operation? I would like to tackle this myself.. any suggestions on the procedure would be greatly appreciated!

    Many thanks,
    Harry.

Are you sure its the switch and not the fan ? For starters the two fans are differently controlled ie come on at different times and then they can seize and thats before you even look at the switch - many threads about this

If it's the fan itself, you can buy a new one for 120$ from the-fan-man.com and it's exactly the same as the original.

And if you do ultimately have to replace the fan Harry, it's a straight forward process. I did it about a year ago. You have to remove the rear tire and inner fender liner to get to it. After that, it's just a matter of loosening bolts/nuts. The new one should pop right in. But the other guys are right, check everything else first. Good luck, Henry

    Harry,

If it actually turns out to be a bad fan, I'd highly recommend you buy the lower current draw fans with sealed motors. The Fan Man has them as well as. They are identical otherwise. I have them on both sides and they cool the engine just as well and you won't ever have to worry about over currents from the fans blowing fuses and melting your fuse box, apparently a common issue with some 355's. You can check the several threads about this.

I just bought one. It's $120 for the lower amp fan, $230 for the OEM high volume one.
    and $25 drop ship charge
