    hi all.

    as per the title, i require front and rear cross drilled brake discs for the 355...
    anywhere apart from ferrari can these be sourced? they are a tad on the expensive side!

    its a fiorano car so want to keep it original btw.

    any help much appreciated.

    Superperformance list cross drilled Brembo discs for the 355, but I couldnt say how competitive the price is, or if the price on the site is for a single disc or a pair, but the price is plus vat.

    Being a Brembo part, you should be able to purchase them from any number of brake parts retailers.

    I'm with Kai on this one too, and had the Hill slotted ones on my personal 348. Curious to the OP what the requirement is for drilled.

    Ian, your choices are limited if you want to keep the original Fiorano drilled disc type, and possibly even more limited if Scotland has an an MOT (Ministry of Transportation) approval requirement (or something similar like TUV) for replacement parts. I would contact the Brembo distributors in the UK and see what is available. If Scotland does require MOT or TUV type approval, make sure you get the homologation paperwork from your retailer.     Ever since getting my 355 I've had a hunger for the look of the cross drilled rotors. The big brake Brembos would make my day athough i can't get myself to drop $7k.

    I'll be waiting for the fruits of your search.

    I will be getting the girodisc aluminum hat rotors on my 355 ..... they are slotted instead of dilled ........ which at this point I would prefer ......... I have had drilled rotors develop little stress cracks emanating from the holes after extended use ........ :(

    The aluminum hat rotors are only available for the fronts and I believe there are a few vendors who make matching slotted rears (non alloy hat) .......... but all things considered ...... I think it is a good , cost effective, bolt-on upgrade, which also uses the stock calipers ............. :)

    Those look like a nice option and the price isn't that high when compared to other rotors. To bad they don't have an option for the rear.
    Post some pics when you get them installed.

    Need fr and rr sets. The girodisk does not have arear but I understand you can make it work by moving the caliper however it must be a stable mount

    If no one comes up with a cost realistic conversion I will do some drawing with Catia, fire my cnc up and no damn F-Car tax or limited production tax.

    +1 ........ I think I'm just gonna get em' ........ they remove 6 lbs of unsprung weight off each front corner, bolt right on and look good too! ........... I've been lagging on this cause my other projects, cars and motorcycles ....... keep sucking up the f-car funds :eek: ........... I will check if Ricambi has them in stock ....... :)

    hi all.

    after a pretty exhaustive search, the best deal i have sourced is the genuine ferrari cross drilled discs and the correct pagid pads for around $2500...

    hopefully everyone understood that it may not be the best modern brake disc option for the F355, bit it is the correct pads and discs to keep my F355 with the fiorano pack in its original spec.

    many thanks to all that offered advice, and indeed i look forward to hearing how other owners get on with the upgraded discs and pads they have suggested if they fit them.

    on a footnote, is there any second hand value in the the vented solid Ferrari pads and discs that are fitted and have done about 3k road miles ( no tracking or hard use )? what may they be worth, and is anyone interested?!

    What speaks against using the cross drilled Brembo discs they are good quality and much cheaper to get ?

    i cannot find cross drilled Brembo brake discs listed anywhere for the F355...do you have a link or brembo part numbers?

    I have seen them advertised on Ebay UK. Don't know if they are drilled by Brembo or by the seller(s), but the net result is still a cross-drilled OEM Brembo disc. Hope that helps your search.

    Are you saying that slotted are superior than drilled?

    Also do you know if the Geomet covering prtects against rust forming?
