Removed my door handles on a 355, didn't have to much of a problem. I refinished them my self and didn't do to bad of a job. My only problem now is I can't seem to get them back on!! I know there are notches which need to line up but they still won't slide on. Does any body know any tricks that I'm missing. I tried the search but can't seem to find anything. Thanks for your help.

Well though no one responded I figured it out any way. I needed to file down the splines on the handle shaft. The handles just don't go right on. Like Robbie mentioned they have notches that need to line up. Thanks anyway.

I just had mine refinished by Robbie and had a similar struggle refitting them...I simply cleaned the splines and fiddled with them for a while and finally got them lined up correctly.

Don't ....file, mine slots straight back both sides..
Line them up and push back into, push firmly...then insert screw.

That's exactley what I did. I must have flatened the splines on the handle and the handle shaft. When I filed them a little bit the handles slid right on. I know what you mean about filling them to much but it worked.
