    My mechanic friend and I removed the driver's door lock cylinder after it failed the other day. What we discovered is that it had a tiny broken coller in the lock cylinder. Can I purchase a new cylinder and replace the part with the key slot with the original piece that fits my key? Or do I need to buy a new blank door key along with the new cylinder and have it configured to the new lock cylinder.
