Hi, I hope someone can help me my door lock problems. whilst on a trip to le mans i locked the doors by key (so as not to activate the alarm) from the passenger side. isuspect this was the first time that the passenger door lock has ever been used. Now i am left with a problem..... Whilst i can unlock the drivers door, the passenger lock won't budge. It all sounds like it is trying, the button seems to want to move but doesn't come uo far enough. Typically i would take off the door panel to sort out a lock - but can't as door won't open!!! any help would be most appreciated as my mrs is fed up of climbing over the door, dukes of hazard style!
LOL. I would suggest that you remove the door intake but, there are a couple of nuts that need to be removed with the door open, so that's not going to work. It sounds like you have a sticking lock, You may want to try unscrewing the door lock button, and then using a pair of vice grips grab underneith the threads and pull it up. Either that or you may have to remove the passenger seat so that you can have enough room to try and remove the lower pannels. Good luck.
I had a similar problem with my Mondial t. If the door lock is trying to open (some resistance but being electrically held closed), it could be getting a signal from the drivers door that it should be locked. i.e the lock motor is working but being told to be locked. Try turning off the battery at the isolator to remove all power then try opening with the key. If it opens with the key the problem is likely with the lock motor perhaps on the drivers side. Hope this helps.
