355 Driver side mirror rattle

mines got an annoying little rattle and I hjave to roll it down a little to stop it (actually about half way).

any sugggestions?

 

My Window was doing the same thing ,had to rool it down about half way to make it stop rattiling . I took the outer door panel off and found that there is a little peice of meatal spot welded tothe windo frame and the bolted to the door .
This little peice of metal broke in the middle causing the rattle . All i did was put a n3ew peice of meatal in and drill afew holes to attache it .

No more rattle .

 

Bill's fix is the way to go...I think there is a thread with pictures somewhere in the archives....much better than the alternative, which is to buy a new window regulator...about $1400, ouch!

I need to work on my passenger door, so if anyone finds the thread, please post!
