So twhat you are saying is that is knocking out 45bhp extra???? That i some claim. A big big claim . And putting aside what exhaust system he is using becourse mine also has a trick system. So its down to the chip, thats what you are saying?

MB: If this is true, whats the name and number of the chip becourse i think there will be alot on here who will buy one in the mornng. Myself included...no s**t.

 

I'm not a techno, and I do not make any claims as to exact hp gains. All I can say is that it is stronger, and yes, I think the chip, as well as that it is an early car, makes a distinct difference. Whether the dyno used is absolutely correct, I can't say. However, Dan at Harmony has stated that this car compares favorably to 360's he has dyno'd on the same equipment.

 

But mine is also an early car its a 95, so the above car is the same speck as mine but with another chip, mine is the Hamonn. And the BHP i an quoting are facts he says his car is 363 RW bhp and mine is 328 RW bhp. A 45 BHP jump on mine. So its cleary down to the chip. Unless there are other mods that we have not been told about.

 

I bought the car second hand with some 12,000 miles on it. The only documentation is that noted. The only other thing that could have been done, which I believe was not, are race cams.
As to the chip, it is a version that a number of Challenge teams in Europe used. It opens things up considerably.
