Then before you ask for anymore help, you should apologize to Randy and Ian, and PAY Randy for the services you contracted him to perform and he completed.

Your attitude in this entire thread sticks. Your smug picture in your avatar isn't helping either. ;)

Fixed it for ya. Dave, Ian and Randy - kudos for taking the high road and being such positive contributors to the board, even under circumstances such as the OP fabricates.

Hell, I give up. I had hopes that this would turn a different direction but alas it has and will not. Everyone has a right to their opinion but only after that privilege is paid for... mine is paid for in full and formed.

    Randy,

Althought I cannot predict the future price of gold or the stock market, I think I can predict with 100% certainty how this is going to end-- My prediction is: "Not well."

If YOU lose Davehelms' input in this thread, likely the easiest going, water off a duck's back, SUPER PRO on this board, the others here WILL likely FOLLOW suit. He is that well liked and respected here.

IF YOU do not come up with a few well chosen words, you are going to be posting all by yourself in this thread in VERY short order.

That is NOT a position I'd care to be in as I don't know crap about cars, I have learned a few things about Ferraris though (Thanx, Dave; and the others here) and there is NO WAY I could do it without the help of the Gentlemen you have called into unwarrented question.

Randy, I would wait no longer.

Many a smart guy have already left this thread "for dead."

Bad things don't get better with time.

Agreed. My apologizes to everyone in this thread.

I made a poor choice of words early and regret that. In my Triumph forum world there is far more joking around and that is not the case here. I have a longstanding positive reputation there and I jumped the gun in some things here as none of you know me at all.

    Two things:

    1. Thanks to the numerous folks who sent me PM's regarding this unfortunate thread. It brought me up to speed quickly and that guidance was important.

    2. Consider this a formal apology to Ian, Gary & Dave. My initial words were taken and driven in a direction I never intended. I am sorry. I will be far more careful on what I say and ask going forward.

My offer still stands to anyone in the Green Bay area. I would welcome a chance to meet any of you eye-to-eye. I think you will see I am not what is made out here.

    Be well,

    Randy

Absolutely, my bad and my apologies to Gary. I blame it on the bronchitis, fractured rib, medication and dubious state of mind I am in! :)

    Glad to see this.

If it were me, I'd ask the mods to lock the thread for a few days to ensure that the relevant parties have a chance to read the apology. Then, I'd ask the mods to delete the thread altogether and start a brand new one with your current question.

I'm not suggesting this to make it seem like it never happened but there's a lot of painful stuff in here that I'm sure all parties would prefer not to be reminded of. Besides, a number of people's reputations were besmirched and it would be unfair to have this thread turn-up in future searches.

Hopefully the bridge isn't completely burned and folks here will generously give you a 2nd chance.

Oh yeah, since there probably won't be a lot of takers for the "beer summit" in GB given that we're heading into winter - maybe send a few of Bushwacker's famous 348/355 T-shirts as a peace offering.

I Second the Motion to lock for say 96 hours and then delete the thread for the same reasons given above and start anew.

I would wait on that until words are proven by actions, there are involved parties that are not whole with this by a long shot.

I am due no apology, I was not insulted "on-line", others were.

No. Much better to send fresh/squeaky Wisconsin cheese curds. And anyone that doesn't know what they are, well, shame on you. :-(

We had to FedEx a few pounds out here a few years ago. There are some things that money cant buy in CO...squeaky cheese curds are one, fresh White Castle is the other. Rather twisted but soft, quite curds.... those are for Southern city boys! Its just a midwest thing....

A man has got to do what a man has got to do. At least now and then :) Besides, it's nothing special if you can have it all the time!

I am a man of my word and always have been. I did not arrive in a position to do the things I do by being a jerk, moron, ********* or dishonest. No one has been, or will be, left short anywhere.

Someday you and I need to talk directly. No e-mails or second party involvement.

I just came back from a drive in the TR8 and we hit a local dairy along the way and picked up a bag of of the things. PM me your address.... I would be happy to send you a pound or two. I was in serious withdrawal during my years living in LA so I know the feeling. :)

I try to always assume the best and let actions prove otherwise, the reason I approached this as I did and pointed you in a direction. Being as you are in a "position to do things", you don't need my advise on the matter but none the less I have paid my dues for the privilege to give it.

I have not been on the Triumph boards as there was no such thing when I was deeply involved in that group. I have owned a great many, raced a TR3 for decades at RA, have one in the garage.... I know that group well. There is a big difference between malicious talk and poking in jest, both here and I suspect, there. You apologized for that and I will leave that between you and those damaged by it, it is not my place to judge, only to voice an opinion.

Someone with a very small business, in a challenging economy that did work for a fraction of market price IS NOT whole and for what... two weeks now? Viewed from the outside looking in I am not seeing a big sense of urgency to correct that. I only have a few personal gripes about this whole ordeal but that one leads the way. Don't play the float on him, have that corrected at 8:01 AM Monday and put that to rest for good.

I take a twisted sense of pride in having my assumptions proven WRONG and I hope this is just another example of that. Yes, one day.... You have no clue how close we really are and how many mutual relationships we have, it really is a Very small world.

A hot bag of sliders, a bag of curds and cold beer on a warm summer evening sitting on the boat. The mountains and lack of Tundra conditions are pretty nice but that minds eye memory will remain forever special.... I edited out the swarms of mosquito's trying to carry me away from those pink sky mental images, no reason to screw up a perfectly good day dream.

Well then I hope you have had a chance to talk to Jim, Dave, Woody & Ted. Each will explain my history & participation in the TR marque. I have been involved for over 20 years there. My love for British cars is strong and I am truly family focused on helping where I can.

Of course I have a clue....A very small world indeed. It always is and why I am careful on what I do & say.... I poked around myself and it seems we share a few mutual acquaintances.

A wild card for sure, but back in the day, my neighbor, when I was a kid, was Willy Troupe. Did yo know him? He had the Neenah dealership for Brit & Italian cars....He took me to Road America several times in Jags, Ferrari's' and other cars in the late 1970's... I was a teenager back then and way impressed. He has since passed but was a great guy.

Whether it is in business, old friends, cars or the FAA, the world is small. Almost all we all have is our reputation. It is something I take very seriously.

I would welcome a phone call so we can discuss things directly,

    Be well,

    Randy

I knew Willy only by name but did meet him. I was a track rat at RA for a number of years before I turned a wheel at speed there but still consider it my home track. To the best of my knowledge I still hold the record for the number of tree's cut down by a British farm implement on the overrun of Canada Corner. Got a nice trophy from the corner workers for that DS performance.

My father moved to Mpls after the war to go to collage but all of his side of our family still calls Menasha, De Pere, Neenah and the surrounding countryside, home.

I'll trade you 2 grocery bags of sliders for a Gejo's pizza down in Aurora....if they're still there. I think there were two of those places, little neighborhood pubs that had the best pizza I've ever had (and believe me, I've had a lot!). The original was about 3 blocks from my house.
One of the waitresses joked with me that I was at that place more than she was......it was that good. I've done an internet search for Gejo's and haven't found anything.

A close second would be Dino's out in Lakewood.

Dino's was the gathering and starting point for a few Ferrari runs... read CannonBalls, to the mountains. I am quite sure Geno's is still there. I knew the owner back when he dabbled in a quest for a Red Sled. Pizza, the breakfast, lunch and dinner choice of Champions! There was a White Castle on east Lake St. that was frequented every night after a productive evening on the town.
