Hi All. '95 355 Spyder just arrived from Japan. In typical Japanese fashion it was loaded up with all the electronic goodies including (but not limited to) GPS (only map is of Japan), TV(Japan-only tuning band) and head unit that has Japan-only FM and AM tuning bands. All are useless here. This is not a surprise nor is it a problem. We've removed the bulk of the useless bits and have a nice pile of wiring and little electronics-filled boxes laying on the floor.

The problem is with other electrical gremlins we think may be brought on by the aftermarket ignition immobilizer and alarm system. The turn signal circuit blows the fuse the second the switch is engaged. There is a direct short somewhere there. The reverse lights are on the same circuit but do work when we isolate them from the fuse panel so have determined the issue is not with the switch or wiring under the console. We have downloaded and studied the shop manual but it's not terribly helpful as it really doesn't identify where components are and doesn't even seem to stay consistent with fuse numbering from the pictures. From the picture, the fuse that controls signal and reverse lights is #26 yet on the wiring diagram there is no fuse numbered 26. Can anyone post up a diagram that shows the turn signal circuit so we can trace its path from the switch to the fuse?

We suspect the alarm/immobilizer simply because they typically will tap into signal light circuits to flash lights when they are armed or disarmed. Rather than trying to track down where the short is, we'd rather snip and splice and bypass the mess but we need to figure out what wires we're looking for...

    Thanks!

That's the schematic I'm working with. The shop manual, in this case, is not particularly helpful. If Ferrari techs are relying on shop manuals to figure this stuff out, I'm glad I'm not a Ferrari tech. Part of the problem is that this manual was scanned at such a low definition as soon as you blow it up big enough to read, everything gets fuzzy. I was hoping someone with an actual manual might be able to get us a higher definition scan or photo. Maybe we're missing something in the fuzz...
