    Greetings

Have decided to round out my fleet of Euro cars by adding a Ferrari. I originally started looking for a 308 or 328 but after further searching came to appreciate the 355 and even the 456.

My problem tho is that I absolutely detest the computer controls and electronic 'wizardry' of more modern cars.

I have a 1968 Triumph GT6, a 1980 Porsche 911SC as well as a 1988 Mercedes. During those 20 years, the electronics advanced a lot, but still not to the stage of my 1997 Mercedes SL320. The SL is a computer / electrical nightmare for me. Although the car drives and runs great I can't help but thinking that one small electrical glitch and I am stranded - the convertible control module set me back $2000 simply because of a battery issue.

My question for the 355 crowd is how advanced these cars are on the computer / electronics front. Are the electronics tempermental or generally as reliable as they could be? I like the looks of the 456 I have all but excluded it from the search due to its advancements in terms of electronics.

Any information or sources would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Italian cars are not the best regarding electrical in my opinion ... and 355/456 have a lots of electronic devices but why not taking in consideration a 348 ? Is surely simpler and cheaper then a 355/456 ....

only reason for no to the 348 is the strakes / cheese slicers down the sides - I personally do not find them attractive

altho I must say there was a beautiful blue on blue spider that showed up on eBay - but must remind myself no open top cars (the sun is not a friend of my skin).

One week in a body shop and they can be gone. Unscrew, remove, putty, sand, prime, paint, rub, polish, install.
