Ive located a 1996 spyder with manual for about $40k cheaper than 99 F1 with 6000km

What is the life on a 355 engine is 40k kms to much.

The car has been involved in a rear end accident but the ferrari dealer that he services the car says that the car is mechanically A1 what is your experience with the above.

Would you spend $40k (AUS) more for newer and less Kms, Would I end up paying that for maintanance anyway.

    Thanks again for tour help

    Ben

I'd be inclined to get full details of what the accident involved. It may not ultimately effect how much the car can be sold for, but it will make the car more difficult to sell.

The car is also quite a bit older and has quite a few more miles on, which rightly or wrongly will hit resale (certainly more than gearbox type).

All of that said, you really must buy on condition. The only way you can really tell on a car that's been pranged is to know what was repaired and have it checked by an independent.

40kUSD is a hefty saving for a reason...

PS 40k miles is not too much, especially for that age of car. If it's been serviced properly, and used well, it'll probably just be coming into its own.
