maybe not on a 95 car.. but to see the engine # plate on a 1997 is virtually impossible..

after searching forever.. I finally find the top of the ingraved plate " Ferrari".
but the rest is covered in hoses..

I gently pushed the hoses to the side with long srew driver while at the same time holding a flash light.. leaninng over the back of car lol... not too easy..
and could now just barely see the engine type ID "F129".
now the engine #, is below that..
but at this point the rest of hoses and the lower part of the oil filter housing.. is obstructing view of the actual engine #..

I guess the only way to see it is when the engine is out..

too bad all that effort for nothing lol..

you don't need the engine out. On your next oil change, you can remove the oil filter housing and see it from there

well I get OCD when it comes to these things.
I tried to look again when I got home.
this time with small flash light in my hand with my arm under the cross bars
pointing the light directly at the ingraving.

the engine# on my original warranty certificate says 46311.
I think I was able to make out the last three digits 311.
but the 46 was still too hidden.
I guess thats good enough, until I go for oil change in spring and ask mechanic to look.

Well until the OCD kicks in again, then 3 or 4 of us ... Also with OCD will be crawling all over it with you until someone yells " I see it ... there it is, nobody move"
    ;)
