    Does anyone know if and then where the engine serial number is engraved in the engine block somewhere?

    If you can't find the thread here with good pictures by 134282 Carbon McCoy then try looking for the information in your owners manual.....

    Its located on the right side of oil filter, on the block. Starts with f. Its a akward place, you will have to move the wires aside to see it.
