My exhaust manifolds look stock but I'm not sure they are. I know they have been replaced a few years ago...I have the receipt but doesn't state the brand. On the heat shielding of the manifold the name "Grassobbio" is stamped on a plate that is closest to the area where it bolts to the exhaust pipe going to the cats. Hard to read but seems like they were made in Italy. Any ideas of what these are? Stock, aftermarket?

These are Tubi headers. I have them on my car also.

Really? That's what I was hoping they were. Just not sure why they don't put the name "Tubi" on it somewhere! Thanks!

They are the best replacements for the OEM by far.

I have a receipt that came with the car for replacement headers but it didn't state the make. I was worried they were OEM headers which means I would have to replace them again for sure. This is great news! Love FChat for just this reason!!!

Labman, quick -- run down and buy a Lotto ticket tonight! This may be the start of a serious hot streak. (You already hit the jackpot once. Have you seen what Tubi charges for those things now?)

Amazing what they charge for a pair of headers! Man I miss the days of buying a set of Hooker headers for my '68 Camaro for $500.

Maybe one day Dave Helms will come out with his own insulated headers, key word being insulated.

Congratulations on the Tubis! I have had mine for 3 years since Dave Helms put them on along with Hyperflows and I could not be any happier. Forza F355!

That day is not far off.

I refuse to build production headers (and highly dislike building those for the race cars, its a nerve racking, thankless, stinky job) but I am working with a manufacturer who does. The first try was promising but not good enough so the second prototypes are now in progress. If I can get a header made to my spec's that is supported by a Lifetime warranty... Then I will build my heat shield design to work with it and we will have a complete package. Coming to the game this late, there is little financial incentive to follow through with this.

Simply put, there is nothing currently available that I am happy with and I have broad long term plans for these cars that is far more complex than just getting the exhaust behind the car. Some of the products we are currently making are just the base requirements to bring the engine management up to its full potential, something I now believe we never had. Once there we can then start to push the envelope if we can get the headers to properly breath. It's a rather complex 'Package' these Ferrari engines, to make forward progress one must view it as such, few do. I have long stated that I believed Ferrari left very little on the table in the way of untapped performance. Once again I have proven to myself I was wrong and qualify for the Village Idiot position but Performance without Longevity is unacceptable. It's the small details that take so much effort and time but I now see a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel.

Do you have a stock muffler? I heard that the addition of Hyperflows alone adds to the overall sound...true?

I put hyperflows on my first 355 when it had a Tubi and I really didn't notice much difference.

I have test pipes on with my Cappy and it didn't do that much either. At least these are my impressions.

Glad to hear you haven't given up on this Dave :) My stock headers are still good, I keep an eye on them based on your tip to always allow a drop of oil to land on top of the filter when I check the oil. Please keep us posted on your progress.

14 years too late, but you actually have the uber rare SECA headers, which are better than Tubi headers as they actually make power.
