May as well remove the entire exhaust system, just the mufflers would be kinda tacky imho. May I recommend the Capristo if you do decide on an exhaust system.

has anyone removed just the muffler and what would it sound like. to me 3300.00 for a muffler is a lot of $$

You're paying that much for an entire exhaust system. If you want to go with something custom I can develop a system for the low $2,000's for you.

Never seen or heard of that, but it would be insanely loud. $3300 IS a lot of money. If you are a careful shopper, you can sometimes find Tubi's and others on Ebay for a couple grand.

Tubi is very strict on their minimum advertised pricing and advertising on ebay so I've heard so I'd very suprised to see a Tubi auction on ebay.

    Good luck,
    Kevin

    I should have qualified that..."USED".

And you are right about minimum pricing. I got an extremely good deal from one dealer, and he caught hell for it from Frank, especially since I didn't live in the same geographic area as the dealer.

Yes, but you are right good deals can be found on ebay. I got ahold of some 360 Capristos for $2.5k which is even below my cost. If you're a patient guy you can really save money with ebay and specials companies run.

Vincent355 has a Quicksilver and he digs it.

    Nowhere near $3300 either!

i knew that post was coming, i'm not being a cheap sob i just dont see the justification on spending 3 grand on a muffler. i got a price on a capristo and they told me 2900.00 shipped and it is only a muffler not a whole system like someone else mentioned.

I just put Hyperflow cats on my 355B and, along with the Tubi, the system sounds much better. I did the cats because my factory cats finally blew out after 9 years and 12K miles...so be it. Sound is deeper and much more melodious to my ears. And it sounds incredible over 6000 RPM. I haven't experienced the boominess that some folks complain about with this combination. Nothing but sweet exhaust music. Makes a stock 360CS sound like a ricer in comparison. Hey, that's just my OPINION. It sounds better to ME.

Picked up the cats from Daniel Pass at Ricambi America, one of the sponsors here. He's great to work with...VERY customer oriented and he drives a Ferrari.
