Hey guys, I'm interested in the 355 convertible. My question is, how many different 355 models/trims are there and what are the engine specifications for each model. I'm looking for the 355 with the most power. thanks guys
There are the following: GTB - COUPE BERLINETTA GTS- COUPE WITH TARGA TOP SPIDER - CONVERTIBLE All engines are the same, other than a little more hp in the 1995 model year. Most are six speed manuals, with the F1 transmission coming out around 1998.
I have a GTS targa... I love it to bits, and my friends say they prefer the F355 to my 360 and 2002 M5 (mind you anything with that horse is better than a BMW )
I think you need a basic primer such as www.the355.com - using the search function here in the 355 area might also help
All 355s are 3.5 Liters. The last 5=5 Valves per Cylinder; hence 3-5-5. The '95s are Faster, especially Red Berlinettas.

I will bet you a £1000 steerling that they do Thats a mis print or the dealer does not know his arse from his elbow
Great cars. 95 has a little more power and OBD1. Spiders can have problems with the automatic roof. I would keep away from F1 as it was still in early development during the 355 run.
For speed and handling the 95 B is your best choice. keep in mind that the spiders are a good 300 lbs. heavier than the B's.
95s are the fastest of the 355s, but watch out for engine problems. If you're looking for a 95 try to find thats had the valve guides done.
I have a 95 F355b since 4/99 until now I have no problem with header or valve guide whatsoever. Since then I have driven 23,000 trouble-free miles and I had a 30k service done on 5/02. I also tracked 5-6 times a year.
Interesting : 4.3L DOHC 32V. What Model F-Car ?????? I'm pretty sure 355s : 3.5L 4 Overhead Cams & 40V. :
I also have a 95 gts and have no problems with headers or guides. My friend has a 97 spider and its no match for my 95 in a all out race!! good luck
