    Experienced 3 or 4 times over as many years that, when the car is really warm, the gear # indicator will blink in 3rd or 4th. Not a jerky blinking, 1 second period, stable. Goes away after a while. Anyone knows the root cause or experienced something similar ?

    The manual says it is a warning sign of the gear not being "fully engaged."
