I have a intermittent problem with my F1. It bleeps frequently at random times, as I turn ignition on, after starting engine to selecting reverse. I understand its supposed to indicate clutch wear/over heating but immediately on start up? It operates superbly at all times and changes gear faultlessly when driving, warning light does show but not always when the beep is sounding! I believe there is a way the system can self learn? I have tried the battery disconnect/reconnection. Anyone have any ideas?

Likely low hydraulic pressure. try to see if the F1 pump is running while the beeping is occurring, you likely have a restricted pump inlet screen causing long pressure build up times.

    Hi Mark,
    thank you for the help.
So I am right in thinking there is some kind of filter behind these screws that needs a clean? I did think the fluid in the reservoir looked a little dirty.
I shall do this at the weekend.
    Regards
    John

When you do it will you take a pic or two if possible and share the procedure with the rest of us?

My fluid looks a bit dirty too.

that picture was actually from another repair. but the item in yellow is the inlet screen to the pump. I would not recommend removing the pump entirely. the problem with the 355 F1 is only about half the fluid is ever filtered by the internal filer in the reservoir. a majority of the fluid is recycled directly back into the pump inlet and so the debris builds up in the inlet screen.
