355 Fans

Occasionally I hear a shirping noise from the left fan for some seconds, then it's gone. Sound is like when gravel hits the wheel housing or something similar, but this sound is defenately not gravel as it comes when standing still too. Ideas?

 

Old thread I know, but my drovers side fan used to run after shutdown automatically. - I have a 97 spider. Now I hear a low hum as the electrics try to get the fan to run but it's not engaging after shutdown. All works fine when running. Thoughts? All fuses ok.

I have not heard of it running automatically after shutdown, but if i drive my car kinda hard and shutdown it will kick in based on temp.

 

If your fan ran after shut down, some one made changes to your car. It should not do that.

The hum you hear is the idle regulator. It does that for a moment after the engine is off.

Maybe my engine coolant has not got that hot.

I will check it at chuck on the 13 it should get hot enough on track.
