I am looking at a 355 Fiorano that was involved in a minor fender bender. All parts have been completely replaced by professional Ferrari restoration facility. What would you guys expect to pay on a car like this? It has 8800 miles on it. The dealer wants 115. I was thinking more like 80-90 (because of the accident). What do you guys think?

You did not say if F1 or 6 speed or the color. All matter. Is this one black on black?

However, I would say your $80K price is more reflective of a fair price.

I turned down a 99 6 speed Fiorano with under 5K miles for $95K and no accident. They were asking some where between $99K-$105K.

So, use my experience as a possible guide.

Very nice color combo, but if you want a stick why settle for the funky F1?

    Keep looking. You'll find it.

3 or 4 are in California. I saw two here!

F1 is a risky proposition on this model. It was the first. Does that tell you anything?

If I sound skeptical, look at the 360 section to read issues many have with that transmission, and 360's are the 2nd generation of that transmission!

What's the big hurry? If you steal the car at a great price, maybe, but if you plan to sell that car after a while, you might take a big hit!

    I wouldn't touch a 355 F1. IMHO.

Why not just find the best '98/9 355 you can??

Why do you feel that F1 isnt worth it? I agree with you though, im just gonna wait and find the right 355, in manual. Thanks for all your help.

Not only have many on this forum had cncerns about this transmission, Brian Crall, an extremely talented and knowledgeable Ferrari expert, has relayed to me his reservations about the early F1's.

    Tstafford said it right.

Drive an F1 355 and then drive a 6 speed. The F1 is a neat idea but not when the bill comes due to repair it!

Remember, I am speaking for myself here. I am sure there are 355 owners who love that transmission.

I love the F1 and will NEVER have a Ferrari again that does not have it, as for possible failure I asked the head mechanic of My local dealership of failures between F1 and manual and He told Me there was nothing in it.
