    Hi People,

I've recently sold my 95 355 spider and have been looking for a nice 550 to replace it. Looking through top marques I've spotted a 355 Fiorano for sale. Thinking with my heart again and missing my 355 I think I might go and have a look. I've note some info below so can you let me know if it's at the right money and also how do you know if it's a genuine Fiorano car. Any help appreciated.

    Hi there,

The "fiorano handling package" was an option for the 355, available at least on 99 cars, but possibly on 98's as well. How to confirm?...it should be prominently displayed on the original bill of sale under optional equipment...an expensve option if i recall correctly.

Keep in mind, this is NOT a 355 Fiorano limited edition...these were a limited (104 or so) edition run of the last of the 355's...which of course included the fiorano handling package, some fancy trim and other nice touches,as well as a plaque indicating which # out of the hundred it was (at least in N.A.). These cars were all 1999 spyders, almost all made with the F1 transmission, although a few manuals were made as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Goldy

    Thanks Goldy,

Just done search on Fiorano car's and realised that this ones just got the handling pack.

Still appreciate any advice of the price of this vehicle. I know that Verdi's did the recent service and cambelt so i'll be on the phone to Karl on Monday to get some advice.

Im not sure how much of a price premium the option would add, options usually dont mean diddly come resale time. As an example, the fiorano editions themselves are usually trading at a 10K premium over a regular 99 spyder...and that is for the full blown special edition!

That being said, it is a very cool option (the seats to., btw) and a rare one as well...If I was happy with the rest of the cars condition (wear and tear, stone chips, service records, PPI) I would probably be inclined to make an offer on the higher side of the market average for your location.

If the 98 f355 berlinettas are selling (where you are) in a range of 45k to 60k, for example....I would offer about 55k...and come up a little bit from there, maybe 57k tops?
These numbers are just examples, but im sure you get my drift.

There are also some posts regarding the "fiorano" option on this website...you might want to read up a little before you make any moves.

    Good luck!

    Goldy

Looking at the spec of the car and the current state of the 355 market in the UK, I think it is spot on the money. It certainly is a godd starting point for negotiations. Of course, you really need to see the car because it may be far off the description...

    Good luck,
