I finished cleaning and re-greasing the damper assy and everything was in like new conidtion inside which was good to see after the pain of getting the thing apart. I used kluber from Ricambi/MD Clutches and of course the new giant Oring that runs along the outer edge of the damper top cover. I just want to double check one thing with those who have done this before.

From all the drawings and what I noted when taking it apart there is no seal of any kind where the flywheel seats onto the inner ring of the damper. For all the fuss made about grease getting out or fluid getting in and contaminating the grease it seems odd that there is no seal of any kind in this area. Obviously the grease will be pulled away form that area toward the edge. I just wanted to double check that there wasn't a secret gasket or rubber cover that had crumbled away.

Also, anyone know a good shop for resurfacing the flywheel? In the D.C. area would be nice but if you have a shop that did yours and did it right please let me know, I will ship it if nothing turns up locally.
