We received the parts yesterday, John. Yes, they are horrible - some of the worst we've seen. The gentleman we are working with said they make the recommendation to the seller but it's ultimately the seller's decision.
I wouldn't be too quick on that. There has to be something unique about the specific car to draw a good price. A couple of generic red/tan 355s (GTB/22kmiles and Spider/15k) topped out as no sales around $50k. Compared to the green car at $102k + fees, there a lot of sorting you can do for $50k. And before someone chimes in (DaveRocks), yes, I know, it's Mecum. But, hey, Mecum has 2 La Ferrari scheduled for Kissimmee along with 9 other Ferrari. I think you are going to see resale red become the red light special of the 355 market. Just nothing special about a red 355 in any body style.
RM and Gooding are class acts. Mecum is for cattle. But if Mecum starts sending us parts, I'll change my tune
