Can anyone verify that the front bumper for the 355 is the same unit for all years and submodels ('95-'99; GTS, Spider, Berlinetta)?

Parts Dept. at Ferrari of Orange County told me that "it's the same P/N across the board." However, another dealer's information contradicts that statement. Which is correct?

Visually, they both look the same to me and the owners' manual has the same dimensions listed. What could be different, if anything? Will a take-off from a '95 fit a '99?

    Appreciate the help!

Technically, up to assembly # 20189 (mid-1995, I think) the proper bumper is 64480610. From assembly 20189 onward, 64888910 is the correct number. To my knowledge they don't supersede so there must be some slight difference. I don't know whether they're interchangeable in terms of fit.

If you're sourcing a used '95 bumper, try to determine the car's VIN or Assy where it came from.

Thanks Dan, I had a feeling you'd chime in with some knowledge.

Anyone have any idea what the difference might be, if any? Quite curious...

I don't know what the modifications were, but if it was up to me then it would be to add two drain holes behind the front flasher lamps. I discovered when changing a bulb that the fixing studs of the overtaking flashers (front fog lamps in the 'States I think?) on my 1995 355 are rusted practically to dust.

When washing the car water accumulates in there and stays there for days. Even driving it doesn't budge the water. Its like a sump. Now I blow it out with my compressor but the damage is already done.

Get the euro bumper with no side markers!

I believe, but I am not sure, that there is no difference in fitment between 95 and 96. Perhaps Daniel can look and see if the corner "undertrays" are different also or something obscure like that. It would be preferential to use a 96 on a 95 because the 95's, front and rear are really heavy. They are hand laid / choppergun fiberglass, as opposed to a more automated process. I do not know the weight difference, but I bet its at least 5 pounds each.

Hi Jay, just adding some comments on your post. I have euro bumpers on my 355 they are quite a bit lighter, I can pick up the rear one with one finger it takes alot more than that for the US version, frt is about the same. They fit the same as the US bumpers and appear to be hand laid material instead of what you are referring to as a automated process. The mounting brackets are also different. Regards, Vern

Same shape, different materials - 95's are open-mold chopped strand fiberglass. Also, the 95's and later have different brake duct arrangements -95's are attached I think, later ones are removeable.
