    I had an annoying squeak sound coming out from the dash area. After checking everything, short of a complete dash removal, I decided to check the front hood. When I opened the hood the strikers felt very loose. I adjusted the screws on the strikers, tightened them up, I sprayed lots of silicone oil on the hood lock on the front bumpers, drove the car and finally no more squeaking sound.

    I love the "keep it simple" type of repairs. Congratulations! Disassembling the dash would have been a NIGHTMARE.

    I had the exact same thing happen!!! I tightened a lot of screws. I was sitting in the drivers seat and it just hit me that it could be the hood
