Okay, another mod for the group. the stock fuel distribution block uses "O" rings to seal the fuel lines, the bracket retention design is also poorly designed. the 'O' ring setup would be fine if a collar or locking 'C' clip was used but the use of a flat clip to hold two lines at once is problematic. if the lines do not go in correctly you can shear the 'O' ring and not realize it, setting up a leak later. and given with time and heat the 'O' ring will degrade. looking over the layout I realized you can replace all the lines with fittings and also use 'Y' blocks or 'T's. I went with 'T's to save about $80. the lines are straight forward, the return line to the tank will need shrink wrap to protect the tanks fireproofing from the stainless braiding or you can sleeve it with thin wall hose like I did. the fuel block unbolts from the bracket holding the power steering reservoir, two 5mm allen bolts. I went with earls fittings, here's a list of parts. QTY----Part#-----Discription (12ft) 400060 '6 performOflex fuel hose' (2) 982406 '6AN "T" fitting' (1) 807692 '6 S.S. (1) 806106 '6 60* tube swivel seal' (2) 809106 '6 90* tube swivel seal' (4) 800106 '6 st. swivel seal' (1) 9919DFG '6AN to 12mm-1.5' (2) xxxxxxx '6 st. swivel seal x 12mm-1.5 (possible discontinue, new #?) the 4 fittings for the fuel rail are common to 90% of the cars on the road, I'll see what earls has superseded them with. all right, the pics...
