    "355 gets beaten by laptop battery powered car," is this meant to imply that laptop battery power cars are better than 355s?

    Salacious headlines aside, there is a reason for this, and what it boils down to as apples and oranges. Electric motors make instant torque which will give the car a phenomenal advantage over just about any internal combustion car. Furthermore I suspect the yellow car very likely weights only a few hundred pounds, unburdened by all those things that make a real car what it is as opposed to somebody's science experiment.
