    Hi all,

I'm in the process of buying a F355.I'm having a hard time deciding if I go with the GTB or GTS version.I just sold my Euro 78 308 GTB,so even if 308's and 355's are worlds apart,I'm familiar with the GTB.
Could you please give your advice on pros and cons of GTS?
    Thanks in advance,
    cheers from Paris,
    olivier

Tough decision ! I have just gone through the same thing . I wound up with a GTS . Why ? It was the right car ... low milage , late model , great condition .
If you have a choice and you dont mind a bit of " squeak " from the roof , I would go for the GTS . To drive on a nice day and give the car a good rev in a GTS wich a good Tubi or Capristo , is a wondersful experience . Not as much " look at me " as the spider but still with the wind and the " soundtrack " .

The GTB also has its good points .... so really , it's a question of which car you find in the best condition .

The GTS will be 10 times as hard to find---Consider that when searching

I always liked that the GTB was more readily available with the 348 then the 308/328. But I'm biased as I've never been any form of "convertible" fan. Which is why I automatically say GTB.

But then, my wife likes open cars......

I faced the same quandry while shopping for my 348. TS or TB? The decider? There is nothing like the feeling and the sound of redlining my Porsche or Corvette in second gear with the targa tops off on a nice day. Redline in second in a 348 with the top off has got to be pure ectasy. I can't wait to do it.

Go GTB!!............... I hear the "B" is more prone to leaks than even the "spider"

Go with the GTS, you wont regret it! I bought my second 355 GTS F1 last week, found a nice -99 in Germany. There are still good car for sale here in Europe.

both models are SWEET. The GTS will cost a little more and always be worth more then the GTB because there are fewer but it will not handle as well as the GTB. if you like the top down and like the GTB look go for the GTS.if you want a good racer feel go with the gtb its more stiffer.

ok, you can go wrong with either one. If your heart is set on a GTS, just be patient for the right one to come up as there are few and far between. Let's just say I am a convertible guy, and would take a GTS or GTB over the spider.

I favor the GTB's for the extra stiffness from not having the top cut. Relax, they are out there. It all depends on the year. Seems there are more B's in the earlier years. "S's" are probably more fun, So, if you want to drive it and zoom around town, get the "S". If you want to track it and explore the limits of car and driver, get a "B". Don't bother with a Spider unless you are a hairdresser, like goth.

Tough call, I would've preferred a GTS (with body color matched top), but didn't want to wait longer to find just the right one. GTB does have the rigidity benefits mentioned above, and has the flowing bodylines that the convertible loses with that fabric top. If it were me I'd take a GTS if I found one...

I say the GTS. It looks awesome with the top off. And when it comes time for me to buy an Fcar (not too far off:)), that's what I'm getting. Although, I'm not that patient, so I'll probably end up getting a GTB!:D

Having owned two GTS's..its the only way to go! The top off gives you the open air feeling without the muss and fuss of a rag top. My last one was a 99 with the painted top which gave you the look of a B if you felt the need although I really never drove it with the top on! As far as the stiffness of the B...over rated!
