I'm looking at a few different 355's right now but I thought I would put this out there in case someone was considering selling.

I'm looking for a 355 GTS. Must be manual transmission. Prefer black interior but would consider any color combination.

Looking for a nice, well maintained car and would prefer to be at $60k or under if possible.

My email is [email protected] Thanks!

I'm open to opinions. If you think I'm being extremely unrealistic what do you think such a car should bring in this market?

Ill let the experts chime in but finding a gtb that is well maintained for 60K is still a search.

So true. I paid 60k for mine in the spring. It is an excellent car and well worth the 60k, but it was due for the NJB's major service, paint finish work, dash cover replace, interior detail and stickynomore work. That's all adding about 12k, plus 6k for fabspeed headers, test pipes and 2ndary pipes. So my real cost is pressing $80k, but when its done it will be complete and ready to run worry free. I can't wait!

I was implying finding a gtb well sorted and maintained was a hunt in itself but finding a gts for under/around $60k is a dream.

You still havn't really answered my question. If a $60k GTS that has been maintained is a dream, what is a realistic price?

I have no idea but based on a few minutes of searching, ball park of mid to high 70's.

Hopefully the experts will chime in.

Ok, I just thought that if you viewed my target price of 60k as a "dream" you must have allready formed your own opinion of what a reasonable price is.

This car that I've been watching-

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220516173083&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Seems very nice and well sorted but so far no one has snatched it up at the 69k buy it now price.

You will love the car when you settle down and get one
We put ours for sale two years ago and I am glad that we took it off the market.
Just love the car and the targa is wonderful
    Good luck and happy hunting

Thanks! I've owned much faster cars but am really looking forward to the 355. I'm addicted to the sound and think that it will be a very fun car overall.

Well, I went through this process in the spring and ended up running PPI's on a GTS (California) and two GTB's....ended up with the last GTB but became very familiar with the market. The GTS in CA I was looking at was a 3 owner '95 with 21k miles due for a major asking price $59k. It came through the PPI fine and we nearly came to an agreement in the low $50's before the deal fell thru (I think they may have sold it locally). I had to factor in the transport cost to the midwest and the major service and was targeting a total acquisition cost of $60k or less in the depressed market at the time. Having said that, it was the only GTS at the time in that price range, all others were well into the 60's and up.

The car you're looking at looks nice on the surface and the two owner (confirm!) history is an adder. I'd try to talk to the previous owners as well as the shop that performed the major service and have Jack Babbitt at NJB Automotive in Columbus do a PPI if you're still interested. Good luck.

there are about 5-6 gts cars right now on autotrader. one is a redtan for $47k looks too good to be true. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=266636615&dealer_id=64468893&ct=p

otherwise you have some to chose from, unsusual in that normally there are just 1 or 2 gts cars for sale at any given time.....

    good luck.

i've had mine for 4 yrs....don't need to drive 9 or 10/10s to enjoy the car....

WOW! That looks like a nice one. FACTORY SHIELDS! Black interior! Mine is red/tan. It's okay but I'd have prefered black interior. If I hadn't already gotten mine, I'd be all over that one.

I second the recommendation of having Jack at NJB look at it. He's very close in Westerville, OH. He's got my car there now doing my 30k and other stuff. He'd be the man for the PPI.

After more consideration, if Jack gives it his blessing, I'd seriously consider the Buy It Now price, or at least an offer close. You better move fast. By calling to to attention on Fchat, you've just exposed it to hundreds of rabid 355 lovers and 348 lover who've been considering a 355. Thse factory options on the sticker are uncommom and desireable. Even the sticky doesn't look bad. Just a little bubbly.

Hmmm. Wonder what I could get for mine in trade for that one. Like I said, you better move fast!

Well if you buy it let me know what you want for yours (if it's a GTS) :)

I would surely think anyone actively looking for a GTS would have allready found this car on ebay but who knows.

Well mine is a GTS, but on top of the $60k I paid for it, I just paid 6k for Fabspeed headers and pipes, and spending another 12k at NJB for the 30k service, dash leather, unsticky, interior detail and exterior paint refinish, I'll have nearly $80k in it. I don't think the numbers would work for us. I'm always open to ideas, though. Mine has 19k miles and notice my targa matches the body.

You can see mine here ....

Looks nice! I do like the color matched top. (I do believe it would be out of my self imposed price limit however). Initially I thought you might let it go for less than the ebay car since you mentioned trading it in.

I see what you mean. That auction is about over. I'd call the guy and offer him 65 if he'll deliver it, then go from there. If it looks like he'll go for it, have NJB do a PPI and go from there. Good luck. That sure is a beautiful example with excellent factory options.

I made an offer on the car and was turned down. They said they had an offer of 68k but were holding out for 69k and would re-list the car next week at the same price. Not sure I believe they would turn down a 68k offer but it seems they are not willing to negotiate.
