All of a sudden, my car idles very low at the start and sounds like it is going to stall for the first few minutes. I have rev the engine to move forward in first or reverse. Once I get going it seems to be fine and subsequent starts while warm dont seem to be a problem. That was happening for several days, now in addition the check engine 1-4 has come on and off intermitently. Any ideas

From what i have learnt over the last few years sometimes resetting the ecu,s can help and this is done by turning off your battery at the isolator switch in the front and leaving for a good period, i leave overnight, when you turn it on the next day make sure air is off and let idle for about 10 mins til running at normal temp. This should even out your idle. if not take to dealer to check ecu on computer and diagnose problem. If nothing shows up then give it an italian tune up, fast drive at high revs at full load, this can help clean out injectors.

Thanks, I will give that a try. Where exactly is that switch located, and is there any reprecussions to shutting down the power system such as on board computers ect.
