Last night I turned my headlights on and noticed that the passenger side light only went up about 3 quarters. I tried adjusting by turning the motor screw nut at top of motor but before it aligned properly it went down then back up again to its 3/4 position. I tried it in both directions but to no avail. It would almost line up then go off down then up again. I tried it with the power off but then when turned on right headlight went down and left went up., right went up and left went down. I then tried again and managed to blow the fuse as I turned it clockwise it would not allow me to go any further as the motor would tap against my clockwise motion and this caused the fuse to blow. I also noticed that the headlight would close with a thump.
Is there a starting from scratch way of fixing this. I will replace the fuse, is there a magical position to start at eg with lights on rhs side light may be fully up lhs at 3/4. Do I need to adjust a screw under the light.
Any simple answer would help. I have searched the site and come up with a few different suggestion but none that focus on this particulr problem There is nothing broken that I can see it is just an adjustment problem and getting the revolutions of the motor correct so the light raises the correct amount.
help greatly appreciated. Its not cool manually raising your left hand headlight. regards Tony

    Sorry..just got here.

On the side of the motor is a 10mm nut that attaches the pivot. Somtimes the nut will come loose causing the pivot to fall down a couple of mm. Just lossen the nut and reposition the pivot lever so the light now goes up all the way and retighten. Hope this helps
