Hi, my heater valve motor has had it and I've been trying to source a secondhand one because I'm begrudged to pay £600-700 from Ferrari!! I know the part is the same as Saab part number 9625435 for a Saab 9000 but I've exhausted all avenues that I know!! Surely there must be somewhere that can re-furbish these? Any help is appreciated, John.

I'm not sure what your exact motor is, but if it's a 12V DC motor then I would try asking someone who refurbishes starter motors if they would try and re-wind it.

These are getting mighty hard to find.
This guy may have one, he's pretty helpful. Maybe he has a good used motor to get you out of a hole, he breaks them too...

The BMW 7 series cars (1982-1987) use the same motor.

Hi Peter, this could be promising! I've searched the internet- you couldn't tell me the part number please? Just to make sure I'm looking for the right one, thanks for your help, John.

John the one I have does not have the part number on it.
I shall go past my local dealer and enquire as to the part number and post.

Apologies for my earlier misleading post.

The unit is from the E30 (3 series 1982-1889)
It is item marked 12 on the diagram.

Hi, took my actuator off today and run it over to an auto diagnostic specialist this morning, he phoned me this afternoon and told me he's re-newed a couple of bits and there were some dry joints and it's now working perfect! I'm running the car over next Wednesday for it to be fitted so fingers crossed! I'll post the results next week, John.

took the car over today and the expert tested the plug that goes into the actuator and it was dead! He insisted the actuator did have some dry joints and had seized but now there's got to be more investigating into the wiring going to the heater controls (fuse was OK) The story continues! John.

High resistance build up on the ecu plugs can cause all kinds of woes too. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the ecu a couple of times...

Hi, thanks for the tip, hasn't done anything I'm afraid, this is starting to sound expensive! John.

    Hi Eddie.

Not when you seem to collect piles and piles of parts you never use or really need, were ebaying loads of parts and bits before we relocate into our new premises.

If it helps someone out - I'm happy to help.
