    Hi all,

at the w/e went for a longish drive, about 500km (circa 300miles) total. I was driving pretty hard in general, and around the half-way point I found myself having a little "fun" with a new M3 and some kind of ricer, not sure what -- Mitsu EVO I think (but by the time I'd finished with him he wasn't even a speck in the mirror).

Anyway, I wound the 355 right up but at around 260kmh indicated (c.160mph) 7,500RPM I got a pretty big "hesitation" from the engine, felt like the engine died mometarily I would say it lasted no more than a second.

I got no warning lights and it's never done it before or since. The car is driving better than ever and is feeling powerful so I'm absolutely not worried at all. I've thoroghly checked all the connections and I took the car to the local F-Car specialist and he said the car was running perfectly. The engine redlines cleanly in all the lower gears, but haven't had the conditions to v-max it since Saturday.

The reason for posting is just to ask if anybody from the 355 community has experienced anything similar or knows what it could have been? This happen to anybody else on here?

    Thanks,

    Bob.

PS- before anybody says "be careful what you post etc." don't worry, I'm posting from Germany today, home of the DERESTRICTED autobahn!!

348's and 355's use the same crappy relays for our fuel pumps and fuel injectors. Should any one of these relays "stick" a little or lose a connection at one of their terminals, you could have anywhere from a brief "miss" all the way up to a minute or two with half (or none!) of your engine running.
