I can not raise my hood up when I pull up the hood release lever. One of the latches, I'm guessing, is not totally releasing (I believe its the middle one).

Anyone had the same problem? Is there another backup latch release somewhere in the car? I'd check the owners manual, but of course it's in the trunk :(

Just found mine, now might have to go out and actually look in the car to see if it is still there :D

Crawford, your back up handle should be in a similar position and it would probably have the same design handle too i'd imagine

Thanks to "notbostrom" for the pic

Yep just looked at my 355 and there is a toggle on the passenger side under the dash board. My car is a RHD so if yours is a LHD then it will be on the right:D

Yes same toggle as mine but a little higher up the dash board.

Found the other release handle, but the hood is still stuck!

It looks like there's only two latches on the car - weird that both side latches release but the bonnet still doesn't open.

And my Ferrari crowbar is in the trunk, too.

ps - picture is from the the 'net; not my car...

Try getting some one to push the bonnet down as you pull the lever. You push one side down with one hand and pull the lever with the other. And have some one push down the other side at the same time.....or;)

    It worked!!!

Does anybody know if Meguires swirl remover will buffs out chainsaw marks? I did a search but didn't find anything.

    Hey - I'm kidding!

Wifey pushed down on the hood as I pulled the release - bingo! I hit the latches with copious WD40 and problem solved.

    cue smiley face: :)
