Hi guys, just used the horn on my 95 355B yesterday, and I know it is probably a unique sound to Ferraris, but I feel like when I use it a full Mariachi band is going to come climbing out of the engine bay, asking for tips. Love Mariachi music, but not coming out of the new Ferrari. Anyone ever changed the horn drastically? I'd like something much deeper, more of a saxophone instead of a bugle. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I'll trade you both horns from my other vehicles!

I want to put a Ferrari air horn on our Fiat.

Email me if you're serious about trading for a deeper more 'normal' sounding horn.

Don't change the horn.. that air horn is one of the defining factors of the quintessential 90's Ferrari! Don't change it at all.. its iconic!

Rob'Z, so sorry for your Fiat but i will keep the original in any case. I need to check which version I have.
thanks 308 GTB, the Road runner horn sounds nice....but i feel it just doesn't match with the roar of the exaust (so great!!!)

    And from me too!

This is a bit childish but I love the high pitch scream of the twin Fiamms on My 348! - And so far, so do all the other drivers who've heard them when I've been out driving around! (Where I live I seem to get quite a few drivers who sound their horn in appreciation of the car and have a massive smile on their faces when I hit the twin Fiamms for them! :) )

The last time I was out for a drive I was following a car that had a couple of children on the back seat who had turned round to see the Ferrari following them. They were happily waving away so I waved back and then gave them a couple of screams of the horns and they loved it!)

The thing is, that high pitched scream from the air horns is yet another piece of Italian drama that helps make the car so special!

Don't be embarrassed by the sounds of the horns! - Be proud that your car shouts to the World: "Hey! - I'm Italian and proud of it!!!"

Seven years later I still have the OEM horn, and have come to love it! Glad I didn't change.

I don't know that I will ever come to love it but I don't know what I would change it to so it will probably just remain and I try not to use it.

I can not wait to press the horn button on my 348 and look for every opportunity to press it
as it's sound is so unique.

I do not have a horn replacement suggestion. Sorry.

But if you do switch it out I will gladly buy your old parts. PM me when you do.

I had an '85 308 for about 13 years. When I purchased my '98 F355 in 2018 I wasn't sure at the time if it had the same classic Ferrari horn. The first thing I did when I initially sat in the car upon its arrival off of the trailer, was try the horn. So happy I was to hear that screech.

Got a wonder though, as much as I love the screech of the Ferrari horn, while making a left-hand double turn recently, I’m on the outside, the car next to me wanted in my lane. I hit the brakes, and sounded the horn. The other driver was oblivious to my presence. I suppose safety mandates changed the Ferrari horn sound. Most people probably don’t recognize it as a horn, but as an unfamiliar sound. But still love it.;)

The FIAMM Roadmaster metal horns, from the mid 60's have that distinctive Ferrari sound, but are deeper and louder.
They are also tunable to create a unique tone.

Does anyone know if you can simply screw those vintage metal horns into the 355 housing?
