My 97 355 idles fine with the ac off. When I turn it on the idle will not return to normal when I decelerate. It will hang up around 2500-2800rpm and I have to brake in gear to "bog" it back to normal. If I push the stop button on ac all returns to normal. I changed the idle control valve just to be sure as it was a bit dirty ,but different. Any ideas guys...

where you actually want real time graphing of what the various subsystems are doinf-thius means you need to find somebody with an SD-1....it actually is good for this sort of real time graphing while sitting...or light driving..FWIW
    good luck

Make sure you turn the a/c off, and let it idle for about a minute before shutting the car off.

The idle seems to set itself higher, every time you turn the car off with the a/c on.

let us know if this makes a difference.

The problem seems to be intermittant. I took the car to the Ferrari dealer and they didn't find a problem. On the way home from picking it up and after paying $1200 for thermocouplers it happened again. Before I schlep it back to the dealer to sit another two weeks, looking for anyone else who has had similar problems.
