Hello all, Ok- I have a torn right side inner cv boot that I need to replace and was wondering how much of a b!tch this is to do. I was pretty well versed on changing these out on my old 1994 MR2 turbo and even with doing it 4x it still was a pain to take the knuckle apart to get the boot on the axle. So I was wondering if this is one of those things that is worth the money to have repaired or if the axle is easy to get out. ie: not a laundry list of things that need to be removed to get at it.. and how hard is it to get the new boot on.. anyone out there done this before?

secondly- I made a rookie mistake by checking my oil when the car was cold and added 2 quarts to bring it back to "full".. drove it down the block and came back because I smelt oil.. I figured I spilt a little.. so I quickly checked the oil- now its warm and was bubbly and frothy- I quickly hopped on here and read time and time again that you need to check it warm.. so now I know- totally a noob mistake.. So I vampire pump out about 2 quarts and I thought I was good. so now I drove it last night and I got a few little oil drips under my transmission case. does this mean that I have to remove more oil? is this a common occurance for overfull oil to drip below there? just worried that it is something else.

as always, any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
