Greetings everyone . I looked at some pictures about the 355. I saw that the steering wheel are different from each other... They are all GTB not Berlinetta. Somebodt knows why? Regards, Challenge. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think the first production 355's, like the first production 456's didn't came with airbag and had that 3 spoke steering wheel.
The 3 spoke is the non air bag as fitted to pre-96 cars. The 4 spoke the airbag wheel from that date (I think that's the date). You can also just make out that the passenger side of the earlier car has a lid for the glovebox where the passenger airbag cover would be on the other one. Incidentally, the 'B' in GTB stands for Berlinetta.
The US 1995 355's had the 4 spoke with airbag... Not sure about Europe - but my 1995 - has the 4 spoke and all others I have seen here do...
In Europe, cars produced very late in '94 and in '95, airbags were optional. In addition to the airbag differences, an ABS disable switch was included in Europe. Airbags were standard in all USA 355's, and the ABS switch disappeared as well.
