    Hi,

I have just bought a 97 355 Spider. Really happy with the car, but I want to get a Tubi asap.

This is a picture of an exhaust that is up for sale - it is advertised as a Tubi, but looks different to the tubi style exhausts I have seen before (tubi style have a single pipe per bank that splits into two tips, whereas this has 4 pipes). Are there different Tubi types.
Is Tubi & Tubi Style the same thing?
Anyone recognise this exhaust? Know if it's any good on the sound front?

I have to decide whether to by this today, so quick help appreciated.

Has anyone heard the sound of a 360 with a Tubi? Does it sound as good as it sounds on a 355 and 348?

Note that the "cheap Tubi lookalike" has better oulets and a beefier bracket.

Doesnt mean its better, but if any of my guys welded like Tubi, they'd get a drug test on the spot.

Just not in love, thats all. And the "F355" cutouts that are oriented so they read backwards after installation are silly.

    Me either...........;)
But the guy was asking if it was a Tubi or not? :)
I dont think it is. Even though the "cheap" lookalike is probably better quality at the end of the day. :p:p

They dude selling the system had bought the car from UK ferrari specialist www.forza288.com , It was bought 3 weeks ago and was told by the proprietor there that the car had only just had a brand new TUBI fitted by QV ferrari specialist of London. So you will see that the new owner was only relaying what he was told by the above ferrari specialist.
the reason for the removal of the system that he thought was a Tubi was because he wants to fit a Capristo to the new car;) He knew the Tubi? exhaust would be taken of as soon as he had the car. Hope that clears up matters.

Dude i am not saying that it is or isnt a Tubi. I added my comments because i felt that maybe the seller was wrongfully being accused of mis-leading the buyers. When indeed he was only quoting what a so called specialist had told him as part of the sale of the car. So the fault (if there is one) lays wholly at the door of the Specialist IMO.
And yes he knew he wanted a Cappy after he drove mine for a week last year and i used his 456 for that epic Italian trip to maranello which i took my family:D On 355s its Cappy all the way dude:D
EDIT. There has been some on other sites that think it may be one of the Stainless Steel company's exhaust systems, but its not. In the top two pictures is my old (3 years ago) SS company system. And the one at the bottom is the one for sale on ebay. Very different...

It does look like a tubi I have seen numerous tubis that look similar and they are all early 355 tubis. I would be curious to how old it is

however a capristo setup sounds like nothing else in this world check them out. 360's are in major need of aftermarket exhaust I have only heard tubis
and x-ost build quality and sound of the x-ost is reflected in their price go with the tubi

Whats wrong with the build quality of the XOST? :(
I have one and it looks pretty impressive and sounds fantastic also. I personally think Tubi's ARE overrated for the money you pay verus quality you get. Still sound nice though. They all do. Capritso I have always loved, but they look hideous on the 348. Well, the older ones do. The new ones are 'hidden' behind the rear bar now, so would be partial to one of those if I didnt love my XOST so much. :):)

i do believe that the tubi mufflers actually have the car its for , cut into the support brackets -- example -- 355, 430, 348........or its stamped on the muffler.

I believe ya mate!! But...........have to say that 360 XOST exhaust must have been a Friday afternoon XOST exhaust and the guy who welded it all together has since been transferred to Tubi exhaust. :D:D:D
