Yesterday while cleaning my 98 F355 inside my garage the alarm beeped and the doors locked (twice). This has happened once before when the key fob was in my pocket so I assumed the button must have got knocked. This time the key fob was on the ground and had nothing to do with it.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it a fault or feature?!

Easy solution (and you can try this at home :)

Let's say your car is locked and you press the fob to unlock it... if you do not open a door in like 3 minutes - it will relock the car...

So I am betting - with the fob in your pocket it got locked, you unlocked it - but didn't open a door - and it just re-engaged.

Give it a try - unlock it - and don't do anything - it will re-lock.
