Does anyone know who can test and diagnose faults in my pair of M2.7 ECU's off my 1995 355 as I think one of them has a problem. Cheers JOW02

I have a spare new unused 1995 F355 M2.7 ECU if you end up needing a replacement.

None of the ECU repair services tried by our pros have been able to do anything with Motronic ECUs. Much better off buying a new or used set.

Have you tried replacing the old eproms for new ones? The old eproms tend to loose their ability to hold info do to the chip degrading. So you may only need a set of fresh chips.

Somebody told me that the right was not interchangeable with the left and they should be kept as pairs or is the left the same as the right? Also is the US ones the same as the UK/AUST ones?
How much did you want for it if it is suitable for my 1995 GTS?

I have heard of this with 348's but is it the same with the 355's? Do you have a part number for these eproms or are they just a standard part you can get from an electronics supplier?
    Thanks JOW02

Not true on the Motronics and with 2.7 you do not have to worry about right or left with the right ECU having the Alarm PIN code in it. Right and Left Motronics have the same part number.

So what you are saying is that all 355 M2.7 ECU's are the same units ? Cheers JOW02

You can get blank EPROMs from an electronic supplier. You will need to have the stock mapping burned onto the new chips.

@ERNIE ... I still have her. I have been holding onto the ECU for the past 5 years.

3Fourty8 tried to pull 355 EPROMS at a Stoogie day, but due to the more complex multilayer boards, was unable to access the EEPROMs. The 348 ECU is much easier to pull.

As far as I know the F355 Motronic 2.7 ECU left and right are the same part number as was stated in the thread.

@JOW02 ... PM me if you are interested in the ECU. Don't want to seem like I am advertising outside of the for sale section :)
