I'm in the process of disconnection everything inorder to drop the engine and perform the 30k service on my 99 355F1

I haven't found a thread regarding removal of the 355 engine on a car with F1 tranny.
Here are a few questions I hope you can help me with:

Do I disconnect the f1 actuator before dropping the engine and leave it with the car and F1 pump or is there another way?

Is there anything I need to pay special attention to?

Do I need to drain the transmission fluid if I won't be servicing it?

If I drain will I need to bleed the system after re install? Is bleeding even possible without special equipment?

Sorry if these questions are obvious to some, it's my first time. ;)

    Hi Extreme,

I'm going to drop the engine in my 355 for the first time this winter. Did you ever find the answers to your thread about a F1 tranny. It seems there is very little information about the engine removal with F1.
    Thanks in advance.

Leave everything connected. Do not remove the actuator. Disconnect entire F1 unit from the car with bracket, lines and all. Zip tie the assembly to the trans some how, so it doesn't flop around or get in the way of removal. You don't need to disconnect anything, other then the quick connect you see from the top. You should not loose any fluid at all. Unless you are changing the release bearing when you do the clutch. Obviously you will have to disconnect the harness plugs to each solenoid. Mark them as you remove them so you know where everything hooks back up again.

Except you do not need to disconnect the quick coupler
